At Contrast Security, we’re redefining how organizations protect their software at the speed of modern development. With industry-leading Application Detection and Response (ADR), we give teams the power to detect, stop and fix real threats in real time. If you're passionate about building smarter, faster, more effective security, you’ll fit right in.
We’re looking for sharp minds, fearless builders, and problem-solvers who thrive on turning complex challenges into innovative solutions.
We are seeking a Contract Documentation & UX Writer who excels in Information Architecture and acts as a proactive advocate for the user. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering and a seamless user experience. You won't just be documenting features after they ship. Instead, you will be deeply embedded in our staging and live environments, shaping the user journey through clear, structured, and intuitive content that translates technical power into user value.
Responsibilities:
Information Architecture & Restructuring: Audit and overhaul existing content to meet the needs of a new product line. You will define the hierarchy, navigation, and flow that makes complex security concepts like ADR, SAST, and IAST digestible for both security pros and developers.
UX Writing & Microcopy: Collaborate with design teams to provide clear and concise UI copy including labels, tooltips, and error messages that guide users through our platform.
Structured Authoring in Paligo: Develop and manage high-quality, reusable technical content within the Paligo Component Content Management System (CCMS), applying structured authoring principles to maintain a single source of truth.
-
Hands-on Research & Validation: Verify all documentation and UX copy by testing functionality firsthand in Staging and Live environments.
Use design prototypes (such as those in Figma) as a reference source to gather screenshots and understand intended workflow logic before code is fully deployed.
AI-Augmented Workflow: Leverage AI tools as a force multiplier for research, generating quick first drafts, and maintaining stylistic consistency across a large volume of content.
Relationship Building: Act as an ambassador for documentation. You’ll proactively build rapport with engineers and product managers, educating those unfamiliar with how to collaborate effectively with content providers.
Resilient Execution: Maintain a steady, patient hand in a fast-paced environment. You are comfortable navigating shifting requirements, tight deadlines, and the ambiguity of a work-in-progress product.
Qualifications:
Systems: Proven experience with Paligo or a similar component-based authoring environment.
Architecture: Deep understanding of Information Architecture and how to restructure complex content sets for scalability.
AppSec Knowledge: Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and security testing methodologies like ADR, SAST, and IAST.
Environment Savvy: High level of comfort navigating Staging and Production environments to verify technical accuracy and ensure the documentation matches the live user experience.
Reference Skills: Ability to pull screenshots and technical details from Figma without the need to perform design work within the tool.
AI Proficiency: Familiarity with using AI tools for rapid drafting, research, and content optimization.
Remote Proactivity: You are an information hunter who can build influence and gather requirements across a distributed team without waiting for a formal hand-off.
We're transforming the way the world secures software. If you're ready to make a real impact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and grow alongside a team of passionate professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
