About the role:

We have recently expanded Geomiq and created a new Quality hub in India, Bengaluru.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual for the role of Assistant General Manager, to lead established Quality Hub in India. The successful candidate will oversee and manage operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, efficiency, and expansion. Quality will be key, with additional focus on attracting, hiring, and overseeing a high-performing team to support the hub’s growth and success.

Main responsibilities:

Operations Leadership: Assist the General Manager in overseeing In-Hub, On-Site, and Virtual Quality Control (VQC) to ensure global standards are met
KPI Accountability: Take direct ownership of the hub’s core performance metrics, specifically NCR Rate (%), On-Time Delivery (%), and Order Volume.
Technical Precision: Ensure 100% First Pass Yield (FPY) on all inspections using advanced methods like CMM and surface roughness testing
Root Cause Analysis: Identify quality trends using Metabase and conduct 5Why/8D analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Global Strategy: Collaborate with UK leadership to implement preventative actions and update global process documentation.
Team & Partner Growth: Lead the hiring and training of the Bengaluru team while upskilling manufacturing partner QC teams

Experience Required:

5+ years’ experience working as a general manager or operations manager.
Experience within the manufacturing or mechanical engineering industry with strong focus on Quality Control.
Able to read and understand technical Engineering Drawings (ideally for CNC machined parts at a minimum) including competency with GD&T, CMM and surface finishing.
3+ years’ experience working in supplier development.
Experience with hiring and managing a team.
Fluent in English.
Strong IT skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills.
