Hi, we’re Gravie. Our mission is to improve the way people purchase and access healthcare through innovative, consumer-centric health benefit solutions that people can actually use. Our industry-changing products and services are developed and delivered by a diverse group of unique people. We encourage you to be your authentic self - we like you that way.
A Little More About The role:
We’re looking for a UX Designer focused on Research and Validation to be the voice of the user across our digital properties. You will be the primary engine that drives Meaning and ensures Progress by grounding our designs in reliable data. Your main responsibility will be leading rapid, tactical research cycles (usability testing, interviews, surveys) to validate prototypes created by our Senior Designers. You will transform user feedback into clear, actionable insights, directly reducing design risk and accelerating the flow of validated features into our Delivery track.
You will:
· Lead the design and execution of tactical usability research studies (moderated and unmoderated) for prototypes spanning Enrollment flows, ER/MBR management tools, and reporting dashboards.
· Rapidly synthesize research findings and translate or implement them directly into clear, prioritized design requirements and actionable feedback for the Senior Designers and Product Owners or implement recommended design updates as needed.
· Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Senior Designers to define research goals and ensure alignment with key business outcomes and UX KPIs.
· Design user flows and conceptual wireframes based on research findings and present validation plans to internal stakeholders.
· Own the validation phase of the Dual-Track Agile process, ensuring every major design decision is tested before handoff to Engineering.
· Create and maintain an organized, accessible repository of research artifacts, user profiles, and synthesis documents to promote Certainty across the product teams.
· Advocate for the user by communicating insights at scheduled intervals with internal stakeholders, ensuring the human impact of our work is understood by all.
· Work with and contribute to the organization's Design System by providing validation on component usability.
· Keep up to date with modern research methodologies and industry best practices.
You bring:
· Ideally 3-5 years of experience in UX design, with a strong emphasis on user research and validation activities (portfolio should showcase synthesis and research impact).
· Expert proficiency in designing and leading usability research studies, including writing scripts, recruiting, moderating, and analyzing qualitative data.
· Deep understanding of UX KPIs and how they relate to validating design assumptions and measuring project success.
· Proficient with Figma for modifying prototypes used in testing.
· Exceptional communication and presentation skills, specifically the ability to compellingly communicate user pain points and research findings to senior stakeholders.
· Prior experience working within a fast-paced, Agile or Dual-Track Agile environment.
· Strong critical and design thinking skills, with a passion for turning ambiguity into clear, testable hypotheses.
· Be a lifelong learner and have a strong sense of curiosity about user behavior.
