Summary

As a Lead Engineer for FINEOS data and digital products you will lead developers in designing and implementing innovative products in data and machine learning. You will also collaborate with other Senior Level Engineers and Architects in FINEOS to integrate these data and digital products in core AdminSuite platform. Python and AWS stack are the primary technical skills. A deep understanding of the role of development teams and DevOps for modern cloud-based enterprise applications is key to the success in this role.

Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Product solution design definition – Ability to articulate solution design in standard AWS cloud component patterns and to make decisions on the technology choices within the context of existing eco-system, security, and future proofing the product.

• Product solution design alignment –Review high level product design and rationale with broader FINEOS Engineering and Architecture community to achieve alignment.

• Product Engineering delivery – Translate high level design to guide the developers to build the solution. Ability to code and review code from the developer team to enforce good coding practices.

• Product deployment – An understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version management and promotion strategy across different environments is necessary.

• Product maintenance – Manage current portfolio of data and digital products to ensure timely update of underlying AWS components to ensure products are on current stack and marketable.

Education and Experience

Senior software engineer with over ten years of experience in successfully developing and deploying, cloud-based applications and services. Demonstrated proficiency in designing scalable architectures, optimizing application performance, and ensuring robust security measures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must understand microservices and event-based applications in serverless architecture.

• Monitoring and logging tools for application performance and error tracking.

• Experience working in large, complex Enterprise solutions with cross geography,cross timezone teams.

• Proficient in agile development practices.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Teams, Word, Excel etc.

Technical Skills

• Experience designing and building AI and ML applications or flows is required

• Knowledge of LLMOps and MLOps is a plus

• Experience with Python and Python libraries such as Flask, Django, Pandas and NumPy is a plus.

• Familiarity with various datastores including RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph, Vector is beneficial.

• Containerization using Docker is necessary for development and deployment.

• Working in AWS or other cloud providers is mandatory.

• Knowledge of best practices for securing AWS resources and data.

Language Skills

Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both in speech and in writing to collaborate with global teams.
