Odoo KE🇰🇪 is looking for a highly motivated, organized and creative Event Coordinator to join our Event Marketing team in Nairobi and lead the organization of Odoo Experience Africa, our biggest event on the continent. This is your chance to combine logistics, creativity and community building to shape an unforgettable experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Event Ownership: Manage Odoo Experience Africa in its entirety, ensuring smooth execution at every stage and with every party involved.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate and negotiate with providers (venue, catering, AV, logistics, etc.), always aiming for cost-effective and quality-oriented solutions.
  • Project Management: Build and follow the event timeline, budget and priorities while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Bring fresh and creative ideas to the table to make the event unique while preserving Odoo Experience’s DNA.
  • Promotion: Drive visibility and registrations by coordinating event promotion across various platforms (social media, email campaigns, community networks, etc.)
  • Community Engagement: Ensure the event fosters strong connections within the local Odoo community and supports business objectives (knowledge-sharing and lead generation).
  • On-Site Coordination: Supervise all aspects during the event: booth management, signage, guest flow, speaker sessions, etc. You will be the go-to Odoo Experience person.
Must Have
  • Strong organizational skills (about 70% of the role) to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • A creative mindset (about 30% of the role) to enhance the event experience and surprise attendees
  • Pro-activity and autonomy as you will be the main driver of this event
  • Perfect written and spoken English
  • Can easily adapt to a changing environment
  • Interest in events that combine community building, business growth, and technology
Nice to have
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (ideally in marketing, event or communication).
  • Able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with a hands-on attitude
  • Business mindset: attention to details, curious, rigorous
  • Good negotiation skills
