Odoo APAC marketing team is seeking a talented Marketing Officer to pioneer our brand's growth in the emerging South Asia markets. This is not your typical 9-to-5 marketing role; you will be the driving force behind putting Odoo on the map in Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives.
We are looking for a team member to work on go-to-market strategies with a heavy focus on events, digital campaigns, and partner networks to generate demand for our sales teams. You will leverage your understanding of local culture to create campaigns that don't just look good—they convert.
Your Responsibilities:
- Pioneer the Market: Develop and execute the initial marketing plan to expand brand awareness and lead generation in these specific territories
- Event Management: Plan and execute diverse events (Business Shows, partner days, webinars) to increase exposure and build a network
- Digital & Content: Create engaging content (customer testimonial, webinars, blogs, localized social media) to educate the market and boost SEO
- Lead Generation: Execute online and offline campaigns designed specifically to feed the sales pipeline
- Sales Alignment: Work closely with Direct and Indirect sales teams to share market insights and optimize the lead lifecycle
- Market Intelligence: Conduct research to identify growth opportunities and cultural nuances in Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, or higher
- Language: Professional-level proficiency in English and Sinhala
- Cultural Agility: Ability to navigate the business cultures of South Asia while adapting to the fast-paced environment of a multicultural team
- Resilience: A creative "problem-solver" mindset. You thrive under pressure and love the challenge of building a presence from scratch
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders, partners, and vendors
- Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of how B2B decisions are influenced on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and X
Bonus Points If You Have:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in marketing (Tech/SaaS preferred)
- Previous experience specifically targeting the South Asian market
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and SEO strategies
- A passion for business software and IT
