We are seeking a talented and driven Marketing Officer to spearhead our brand’s growth in the Japanese market. The ideal candidate combines creative strategic thinking with a genuine passion for business technology.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between Odoo and the Japanese market. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team and the Japanese sales teams to develop initiatives that resonate with local businesses. This is a hands-on opportunity to manage the full marketing mix, from event management and digital advertising to content creation and community building.

Key Responsibilities:

You will develop and execute localized marketing campaigns that boost brand awareness and drive product demand. Your specific tasks include:

  • Event Management: Manage the full event lifecycle, including the organization of Odoo-led events and participation in external exhibitions. You will handle logistics and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Digital Advertising: Execute and manage digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Social Media) focused on lead and customer acquisition. You will perform regular performance reviews to optimize results and maximize ROI
  • Content Strategy & Localization: Create and adapt engaging online content—including webinars, blogs, videos, and social media posts—to ensure cultural relevance, enhance SEO, and educate the market on our products
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify new growth opportunities and stay ahead of trends in the Japanese SaaS landscape
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with direct and indirect sales teams to share market insights, align strategies, and support expansion initiatives through detailed reporting

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, or higher
  • Language Skills: Native-level Japanese (written and spoken) is mandatory. Professional-level proficiency in English is required for internal team communication and reporting
  • Cultural Agility: Ability to work in a multicultural team and adapt to the fast-changing environment of a high-growth SaaS company
  • Resilience: A creative mindset with the ability to work under pressure and embrace the challenge of building presence in a new market
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors
  • Social Media Savvy: Experience managing major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Line)

Nice to have:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in marketing
  • Previous working experience located in Japan
  • Background in the SaaS industry or a marketing agency
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Search Ads and SEO strategies
  • Availability to start immediately
