Beyond day-to-day accounting, you will partner cross-functionally to improve financial processes, enhance controls, and identify opportunities to automate repetitive work using scripting and AI tools. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting and operational challenges, driving process improvements, and contributing beyond traditional accounting responsibilities.

  • You are a self-starter who can independently drive projects from concept to execution while actively collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable taking initiative, managing priorities, and contributing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with Accounting, Operations, Leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders

Interview Process

  • Recruiter Screen + Live Exercise (45 mins)
  • Interview with Team Member(s) (1-2 hours)

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely approvals and payments

  • Design, maintain, audit, and document sales commission plans in spreadsheets and Odoo

  • Partner with department leads to maintain clean data capture processes in Odoo for reliable reporting

  • Improve sales, operational, and accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Support annual and quarterly budgeting, forecasting, and headcount reviews

  • Identify, document, and automate repetitive finance processes using scripting and AI tools

  • Implement processes and controls to ensure cost-effective purchasing and pricing across vendors

What We're Looking For

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, finance, revenue operations, business operations, or consulting

  • CPA or working towards CPA designation

  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including GAAP basics, revenue recognition, and AR/AP processes

  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling

  • Process-oriented and curious, with an interest in leveraging AI, automation, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Odoo

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders

  • Self-directed, comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal supervision

  • Exposure to SQL and/or BI tools (Power BI, Looker, or similar) is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business

  • Strong process improvement mindset, with a natural inclination to identify inefficiencies and automate manual work
