I work at Sendcloud, Europe’s #1 shipping platform. As the Team Lead Local Partnerships, I manage and coach a team of Partner Managers across the Benelux, Spain, France, and the UK. While we have a Global team handling worldwide giants, my mission is to win the markets from the inside out. I lead the strategy for our "Local Heroes"—the crucial regional integrations and agencies that dominate specific countries. I don’t just sit on the sidelines; I step in to support my team on complex local deals and own strategic partnerships myself. It’s my job to foster a high-performance culture where we build the deep local ecosystems across Europe that power Sendcloud’s growth.

Your team

You will lead a pan-European team of Local Partner Managers stationed in our core markets (Benelux, France, Spain, UK). You report directly to the VP of Partnerships.

Together, we are the engine of Sendcloud’s local market depth. Your team ensures we are the preferred partner for the heavy hitters specific to each region, driving massive value for merchants and generating a robust pipeline for our local sales pods.

⭐ Key Responsibilities

People Management & High-Performance Culture

  • Coach and develop: You are first and foremost a people leader. You conduct weekly coaching sessions, career development planning, and performance reviews to help your Partner Managers become top performers.
  • Set the standard: You foster a high-performance culture defined by ownership, speed, and winning. You ensure the team is not just hitting targets but constantly raising the bar on how they execute.
  • Hiring & onboarding: When we expand, you will be involved in hiring top talent in new and existing markets and ensuring they are ramped up to full productivity effectively.

Strategic Partner Management (Player-Coach)

  • Market dominance strategy: You define the strategy to capture the "Local Heroes" (e.g., leading French ERPs, top UK agencies). You ensure we aren't just present in a country, but integrated into its specific tech fabric.
  • Lead by example: You don’t just manage; you do. You step in to support your team on complex negotiations with key local partners and personally manage a select mix of high-impact partnerships (both local and specific global accounts) where needed.
  • Executive stakeholder management: You act as the senior escalation point for critical partners, building relationships with C-level stakeholders at our most important integrators and agencies.

Ecosystem Growth & Pipeline Generation

  • Drive revenue & pipeline: You own the target for the local partnership channel. This means hitting ambitious pipeline generation targets, driving revenue growth from tech partners, and ensuring partners are actively referring business.
  • Strategy execution: You translate global partnership strategies into local execution plans for each region, ensuring we align with the Global team where necessary but move fast to win locally.
  • Data-driven optimization: You monitor pipeline health, partner activation rates, and revenue trends. You use this data to spot risks early and pivot the team’s focus where it yields the highest return.

Our perfect match

  • Experience: 5+ years in Partnerships, Channel Sales, or Business Development within SaaS/Tech, with at least 2+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Office presence: You are eager to work from our Eindhoven HQ at least 3 days a week to drive team culture and collaboration.
  • People person: You have a proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing talent. You know the difference between managing a team and leading people to success.
  • Commercial sharpness: You understand the mechanics of pipeline generation and know how to incentivize partners to drive mutual growth.
  • Player-coach mentality: You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and negotiate a complex integration deal yourself, or jump on a plane to support a Partner Manager with a key local stakeholder.
  • Language: Fluent in English. Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Dutch is a massive plus.
  • Mindset: You thrive in a high-growth scale-up environment. You are demanding of yourself and your team, but you lead with empathy and a "Grow & Win" attitude.
