Strider is seeking a Head of Sales, Japan to lead and scale our enterprise business in one of our most strategically important international markets. This Senior Director level role owns Japan revenue performance, sales strategy, and team leadership.
The Head of Sales will serve as the senior commercial leader in country, responsible for driving new business growth, building executive relationships across complex organizations, and developing a high performing enterprise sales team aligned with Strider’s mission.
This is a market shaping leadership role with full accountability for growth, execution, and team performance in Japan.
What You Will Do
Revenue and Strategy Ownership
Own Japan revenue targets and long term growth strategy.
Develop and execute the country go-to-market plan aligned with global objectives.
Drive disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and deal inspection.
Personally lead the region’s most strategic enterprise opportunities.
Team Leadership and Talent Development
Directly manage and scale a team of enterprise Account Executives.
Recruit, hire, and retain top tier enterprise talent in Japan.
Establish clear performance standards and coaching frameworks.
Build a culture of accountability, rigor, and mission alignment.
Executive Engagement and Market Expansion
Build trusted relationships with senior executives across multinational corporations, research institutions, and government affiliated organizations.
Expand Strider’s brand presence and strategic partnerships in Japan.
Represent Strider in executive briefings and high-level external engagements.
Cross Functional Leadership
Partner with Deployment, Product, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to ensure strong regional execution.
Serve as the voice of the Japan market internally, influencing strategy and product positioning.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of enterprise software or strategic solutions sales experience in the Japan market.
5+ years of direct people leadership experience managing enterprise sales teams.
Proven record of consistently closing and leading six and seven figure enterprise deals.
Experience selling into large multinational corporations and complex institutions.
Strong forecasting discipline and experience owning regional revenue targets.
Fluency in Japanese and English.
Executive presence with deep understanding of Japan’s enterprise landscape.
Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger, or other structured sales methodologies.
Mission driven mindset with intellectual curiosity around economic security and geopolitical risk.
