OUR WORK MODEL

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from our London office 3 days a week and attend occasional in-person company events. Outside of those instances, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely from within the UK.

YOUR ROLE

As a German-Speaking Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and expanding relationships within a high-growth segment of Cognism’s DACH customer base. You’ll lead monthly renewals while actively uncovering opportunities to drive additional value and deepen engagement. Success in this role requires fluency in German, as well as a proactive, growth-oriented approach to identifying expansion opportunities across your portfolio.

YOUR CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES

  • Drive Customer Renewals – Manage and execute renewal processes in both English and German, ensuring high satisfaction and maximising retention revenue across your portfolio.
  • Drive Expansion – Proactively uncover and pursue upsell opportunities that align with customer needs, particularly across the DACH region.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success – Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to align on customer health, drive retention, and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Lead Commercial Negotiations – Confidently lead pricing and contract discussions, securing strong commercial outcomes for Cognism and its customers.
  • Deliver Product Demos – Present new features and tailored solutions to showcase Cognism’s value proposition in both German and English.
  • Maintain Salesforce Hygiene – Ensure pipeline accuracy by upholding Salesforce best practices to support forecasting and team visibility.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

  • Fluency in German & English – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages are essential.
  • Proven Sales Performance – Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a sales or SDR role.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset – Ability to build rapport, understand customer goals, and clearly communicate value.
  • Commercial Acumen – Strong grasp of the sales cycle, with confidence in handling renewals and upsell discussions.
  • Growth Potential – Eagerness to take on more responsibility and grow into a full-cycle Account Management role.
  • Proactive & Organised – Skilled in managing multiple accounts with structure and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Works effectively with Customer Success and Sales teams to deliver shared results.
  • Resilience & Adaptability – Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and takes initiative in solving problems.
